OUR HISTORY

The dream of Overture Arts began over ten years ago on a back porch in Putnam Valley, NY - when Bryelle Kerrigan Burgus (Founder & Artistic Director) shared a vision of starting a theater company and Tammy Burgus (Founder) responded with “Let’s do it”.

Founded in 2023 - Overture Arts was crafted from a place of passion, excitement, determination, and curiosity; built upon years of knowledge, a decade of experience, and supported by an incredible team of collaborators. 

Relocating to the Greater Boston area in 2026 - Overture Arts is in a time of exciting transition and transformation. Under the creative leadership of Bryelle Kerrigan Burgus and collaborator Susannah Baron (Director of Production), Overture Arts aims to reshape theatrical experiences and bring audiences into the center of stories often untold. 

Overture Arts is proudly owned and operated by an LGBTQ+ and all female-identifying team and is dedicated to providing a professional, inclusive, and welcoming environment to all who work with us.
